Neurological physiotherapy

The neurological physiotherapists will undertake a full detailed history and assessment with you to determine the main difficulties. Personal goals will be formulated based on this assessment and a treatment plan devised and carried through to address these goals.

We are able to offer neurological physiotherapy in your own home or at the Blackpool Centre for Independent Living. Your treatment plan will be specific to you and based on your goals. These may include education, training, posture awareness, sitting balance, standing balance, walking practice, stretching and strengthening core muscles.

Unique treatment plan

Your unique treatment plan will aim to promote and enhance your movement and function potential
Depending upon your unique condition the neurological physiotherapist will offer a combination of techniques. It is the skill of the physiotherapist to be able to utilise an array of treatments and equipment to offer a tailored and appropriate treatment approach.

The Neurological Physiotherapists will address 3 core elements:

‘Good Posture’ is the ability to move optimally and efficiently without damage to the body.

Any kind of neurological damage can hinder the body’s ability to move normally, through damage or weakness to the body’s muscles.

This is to achieve the optimum bodily function to aid daily living, including dressing and mobilising.

If you believe that Neurological Physiotherapy might help your neurological condition or that of another family member, please do not hesitate to to discuss your individual needs and objectives. We can be engaged by individuals, family, case managers, personal injury lawyers or insurance companies.
